Nivin Pauly (born 11 October 1984)〔()〕 is an Indian film actor best known for his work in Malayalam cinema. He made his debut through '' Malarvaadi Arts Club '' (2010) directed by Vineeth sreenivasan and produced by Dileep. Later, he went on to act in films including ''Thattathin Marayathu'' (2012), ''Bangalore Days'' (2014), ''Oru Vadakkan Selfie (2015)'' and ''Premam (2015)''. In 2015, he received a Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in ''Bangalore Days'' and ''1983''. ==Early and personal life== His father was a mechanic in Aarau, Switzerland and his mother a nurse in a Swiss hospital. Nivin used to spend his holidays with his parents in Aarau where they stayed for 25 years. He graduated with a B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), Angamaly in 2006.
